Kirchhoff's junction rule for currents I1, I2 into a junction gives:

AI3 = I1 - I2
BI3 = I1 x I2
CI3 = I1 / I2
DI3 = I1 + I2
Answer & Solution
Correct answer: D. I3 = I1 + I2
1. Charge cannot pile up at a junction. 2. So what flows in must flow out. 3. The junction rule says I3 equals I1 plus I2. 4. The answer is I3 = I1 + I2. _Source: syllabus Physics, Ch 3 'Current Electricity'_
