The line through (2, -1, 3) with direction ratios 1, 2, -2 is

A(x + 2)/1 = (y - 1)/2 = (z + 3)/(-2)
B(x - 2)/1 = (y + 1)/2 = (z - 3)/(-2)
C(x - 2)/2 = (y + 1)/(-1) = (z - 3)/3
D(x - 1)/2 = (y - 2)/(-1) = (z + 2)/3
Answer & Solution
Correct answer: B. (x - 2)/1 = (y + 1)/2 = (z - 3)/(-2)
Subtract the point coordinates in each numerator: x - 2, y + 1 and z - 3, over the ratios 1, 2, -2.
