When a diode has its p-side connected to the positive battery terminal, it is said to be:

1. Bias describes how the external voltage is applied. 2. Connecting p to positive and n to negative is one of the two cases. 3. When p-side is connected to the positive terminal and n-side to the negative, it is said to be forward biased. 4.
