Answer: C. All THREE statements about green hydrogen are correct. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced by electrolysis of water using renewable electricity. Its applications are diverse: (1) Direct fuel for internal combustion: CORRECT. Hydrogen can be burned in internal combustion engines, producing water vapour as the main exhaust. Hydrogen internal combustion engines are being developed for trucks and industrial vehicles. (2) Blended with natural gas for heat/power: CORRECT. Hydrogen can be blended with natural gas at 10-20% volume ratios without major infrastructure changes, reducing the carbon intensity of heating and power generation. Many countries (UK, Germany, Japan) are piloting such blending. (3) Fuel cell vehicles: CORRECT. Hydrogen fuel cells generate electricity through hydrogen-oxygen reaction, powering Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) like Toyota Mirai, Hyundai Nexo.
