For a geometric progression with first term 2 and ratio 2, the sum of ten terms is:
A1024
B1042
C2046
D2064
Answer & Solution
Correct answer: C. 2046
1. Here a is 2, r is 2 and n is 10.
2. The sum formula gives 2 times 2 to the tenth less one.
3. Two to the tenth is 1024, so the sum is 2 times 1023.
4. That is 2046.
