Chlorophyll looks green because green light is:

1. A pigment's colour is the light it does not keep. 2. Chlorophyll a absorbs wavelengths from either end of the visible spectrum, blue and red, but not green. 3. Because green is reflected or transmitted, chlorophyll appears green. 4.
