Giving ready-made antibodies directly to a patient produces

1. Active immunity requires the host to manufacture its own antibodies, which takes time. 2. When ready made antibodies are directly given to protect the body, it is called passive immunity. 3. Protection is immediate but does not last, since the host made no memory cells. 4.
