Order the steps: crack a number series

Read exercise and reference answers
Steps
  1. Write the terms out in order
  2. Take the difference between each pair of neighbours
  3. If those differences are constant, the rule is addition
  4. If not, divide each term by the one before it
  5. If those ratios are constant, the rule is multiplication
  6. Apply the rule once more to get the next term
Difference first, ratio second, then extend. Source: syllabus Maths, Ch 9 Sequences and Series.
