On a Multi-Select Quant question, some prompts specify a fixed count (e.g., 'select THREE'). What happens if you select two correct answers when three were asked for?

Ayou receive half credit for two correct out of three
Bthe response is treated as incorrect; no partial credit
CETS auto-fills the third choice for you
Dthe question reverts to a Single-Select format
Answer & Solution
Correct answer: B. the response is treated as incorrect; no partial credit
ETS is explicit: Multi-Select has no partial credit. If the prompt says 'select THREE' you must pick exactly three correct ones; selecting two correct ones (or three including a wrong one, or four) all score zero. Read the count requirement at the top of each Multi-Select prompt before answering.
